Rob Gronkowski put the most famous left ankle in recent memory to the test in last night's Super Bowl XLVI. The Patriots standout tight end was limited to two catches for 26 yards in a 21-17 loss at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Afterward, Gronkowski refused to blame the injury for his limited participation in the offense. No matter how many times he was pressed, the answer was firm and consistent.
"I was fine, my ankle was fine," Gronkowski said. "I was 100 percent out there. I did everything they asked me to do."
